At the Drive-In reunites, coming to Dallas for big concert

At the Drive-In has just announced that they are hitting the road for a big 2017 North American tour and the El Paso band will make sure to play some big concerts in their home state of Texas. Live Nation reported that At the Drive-In will hit Dallas for a concert on June 12 at the South Side Ballroom. Tickets for this concert go on sale on March 3 at 10 a.m.

At the Drive-In got their start in El Paso, Texas, back in 1993 as a post-hardcore punk band and played together until 2001. They split up before reuniting in 2012 and then again last year. It looks like this most recent reunion will bring the Texas-based band back to a regular touring status. The band is without original guitarist Jim Ward.

A brand-new single called “Governed by Contagions” hit in 2016, the first new music by the band since 2001. Along with the new tour announcement, At the Drive-In also announced that they have a new album coming out in 2017 called in•ter a•li•a. The new album goes on sale on May 5, so Dallas fans can listen to it for a full month before hitting the announced concert.

Tickets for the At the Drive-In Dallas concert go on sale on March 3 here. Prices for the June 12 concert at the South Side Ballroom are only $36.50. Le Butcherettes are listed as the opening band for this Dallas concert. The band will also return home for a concert in El Paso on May 6 while also making stops in Austin on June 7, San Antonio on June 9, and Houston on June 10.
