However, Gladiators fans will not see the team be coached by Andy Brandt. That is because Brandt, who coached the Gladiators the last three seasons, has accepted a job as the associate head coach of St. Norbert College of the National Collegiate Athletics Association.

Brandt played six seasons for the Gladiators from 2006 to 2009 as well as 2010 to 2013. In 435 games in the ECHL, Brandt had 90 goals and 134 assists for 224 points. He also played with the Pittsburgh Forge of the North American Hockey League, the University of Wisconsin, the Victoria Salmon Kings of the ECHL and the Lake Erie Monsters, Manitoba Moose and Abbotsford Heat of the American Hockey League.
