AXS TV to premiere 'Guitar Legends II' celebrity benefits concert on March 24

AXS TV is proud to premiere the star-studded benefit concert “America Salutes You: Guitar Legends II” on Sunday, March 24 at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT. Rock legends Sammy Hagar, Billy Gibbons, Dave Navarro, Robby Krieger, Stephen Stills, Joe Bonamassa, and Orianthi are among slated guest stars and performers.

This year marks the second year in a row AXS TV has served as production partner and cable provided for the acclaimed concert. The “Guitar Legends II” concert seeks to raise funds and awareness for charity organizations supporting brain and mental wellness of American veterans and first responders. The event is third in a series of events organized by America Salutes You. The non-profit helps active military members, veterans and their family via benefit concerts.  

Charities which benefit from “Guitar Legends II” include The David Lynch Foundation, Headstrong, The Elizabeth Dole Foundation, and the Entertainment Industries Council.

AXS TV’s “Rock & Roll Road Trip” star and class rock icon Sammy Hagar leads an impressive roster of performers. Hagar will team with The Doors’ legend Robby Krieger and guitar guru Joe Bonamassa for an explosive performance of “Roadhouse Blues.” Krieger is also featured in a massive lineup for a sizzling delivery of “Love the One You’re With.” He will be joined by Billy Gibbons of ZZ Top, Stephen Stills, Orianthi and “American Idol” finalist Haley Reinhart.

Other notable set numbers include Vernon Reid of Living Colour covering the Jimi Hendrix classic “Crosstown Traffic,” Emily Estefan holding nothing back on “Black Magic Woman” and much more. Plus, Don Felder, Kenny Aronoff, and more will appear.

Haiman also thanked Gibson Guitar for offering up their showroom for filming interview segments for the special. The star-studded live benefit show was originally filmed live at The Novo in Los Angeles, California on December 2, 2018.
