Bakersfield Condors fans to have chance to meet head coach Jay Woodcroft

The Bakersfield Condors will make new head coach Jay Woodcroft available to speak to member exclusive fans on May 29. Woodcroft was named the Condors head coach on April 26.

Woodcroft will be meeting the Condors member exclusive fans at the Convention Center Ballroom at the Bakersfield Marriott Hotel starting at 5:30 p.m. The hotel is located at 801 Truxtun Ave. in Bakersfield. Fans can obtain Condors365 member exclusive status by phoning a Condors representative at (661) 324-7825. 

This is the first time that Woodcroft will be a head coach. He has spent the last three seasons as an assistant coach for the Edmonton Oilers. Woodcroft has also been an assistant coach for three years for the Detroit Red Wings, seven years for the San Jose Sharks and has been an assistant coach internationally on two occasions. The first time was coaching Canada to a gold medal at the 2015 International Ice Hockey Federation World Men's Hockey Championship in Prague, Czech Republic and the second time was coaching the North American Young Stars at the 2016 World Cup of Hockey. 

In addition to Woodcroft, the Oilers Senior Vice-President of Corporate Communications Tim Shipton and the Oilers Chief Executive Officer Bob Nicholson will be present. Nicholson is currently at the 2018 IIHF World Men's Hockey Championship in Denmark because he is also the vice-president of the International Ice Hockey Federation.
