The Bakersfield Condors now know who they will face during the 2018-19 American Hockey League regular season. The Condors will play against 10 of the 31 AHL franchises with 34 of their 68 regular season games to be played at the Rabobank Arena in Bakersfield.
The Condors will face the San Diego Gulls, the Ontario Reign, San Jose Barracuda and Stockton Heat 10 times each. Half of those games will be played at the Rabobank Arena while the other 20 will be on the road. The dates of the Condors home games will be scheduled at a later date.
In the other 28 regular season games, the Condors will play the Colorado Eagles and the Tucson Roadrunners eight times each, the Iowa Wild and Manitoba Moose four times each and the Texas Stars and San Antonio Rampage two games each. The Eagles and Roadrunners are divisional opponents for the Condors, while the Wild, Moose, Stars and Rampage are in the same conference as the Condors but are in the Central Division.
In other AHL news, there are four teams remaining in the 2018 Calder Cup Playoffs. The Toronto Marlies are facing the Lehigh Valley Phantoms in the Eastern Final and the Texas Stars are facing the Rockford IceHogs in the Western Final. The Marlies are associated with the Toronto Maple Leafs, the Phantoms are with the Philadelphia Flyers, the Stars are with the Dallas Stars and the IceHogs are with the Chicago Blackhawks.
