American folk rock music duo the Indigo Girls, have announced several dates for their upcoming summer tour in the United States. On Sunday, July 12, 2015, the Indigo Girls will be performing live at the Woodland Park Zoo's outdoor amphitheater in Seattle, Washington, as part of the ZooTunes summer concert series. This show will be one of approximately 20 that the Indigo Girls have scheduled for the 2015 summer months.

The duo's music is categorized in the genres of folk rock and American folk. The Indigo Girls formed in 1985, in Atlanta, Georgia, and have always been a duo, consisting of members Amy Ray and Emily Saliers. Touring members also include drummer Jaron Pearlman, bassist Benjamin Ryan Williams, violinist Lyris Hung and keyboardist and accordion player Julie Wolf. To date, the Indigo Girls have released a total of 14 studio albums, with the latest, One Lost Day, set for release on June 2, 2015. The duo has also released four live albums and six compilation albums, during their 30 year career.

The Indigo Girls are unique in the fact that both Amy Ray and Emily Saliers write and compose independently, and then bring their individual collaborations together to create their new song and music. The duo usually does not utilize talents of outside collaborators either, except for their compilation album, Rarities, in which they worked with Michael Stipe of R.E.M. Ray and Saliers have also had solo careers, in which Ray has released a total of six solo albums. Saliers has plans to release a solo album as well, but no definitive date has been provided.

Fans who purchase tickets to the Indigo Girls show at Woodland Park Zoo's outdoor amphitheater will receive a free download of the duo's new album, One Lost Day. This is an all-ages show and all ticket sales are final. This show will take place, rain or shine. Attendees may bring low-back chairs for lawn seating that is no higher than 24 inches. If you have purchased a general admission ticket, you will be seated on a first-come, first-serve basis. Attendees may not bring cameras, recording devices or alcohol into the venue. This show is set to end at around 8:30 p.m.
