Bela Fleck: Friends & Family to play Red Rocks in 2019 with the Colorado Symphony

Banjo virtuoso Bela Fleck has announced a show at Red Rocks with the Colorado Symphony, and he’s bringing along some of his friends and family, who just so happen to be some of the brightest in bluegrass. 

This star-studded show--taking place on Thursday,y May 30--will see a performance from Bela Fleck and the Flecktones as well as appearances by Bela’s New Grass Revival bandmate and mandolin player Sam Bush, dobro master Jerry Douglas (Alison Krauss & Union Station) and Bela’s wife Abigail Washburn. Bela Fleck is touring around his latest release, 2017’s Echo in the Valley, a collaborative album with his wife Abigail Washburn. Bela and Abigail recently performed on NPR Music’s stellar Tiny Desk Concert series. You can check out that performance in the video above.
