Indianapolis has a treasure trove of holiday events and activities going on this month.  Many of the events are free and fun for the whole family to enjoy.  Here are just a few of the things happening in the area over the next few weeks.

Christmas Open House and Holiday Concert
Dec. 8 @ 6 p.m.
Franklin Cultural Arts and Recreation Center, 396 Branigin Blvd, Franklin, IN 46131

Come and enjoy some holiday cheer with Santa, music and refreshments.  There will also be a holiday concert in Beeson Hall, which will feature the Franklin Community Band and Kickapoo Preschool.

Christkindl  Village
Dec. 16 @ 5 p.m. and Dec. 17 @ noon
Georgia Street, Between the Convention Center and Bankers Life Fieldhouse

Celebrate the holidays with a traditional Christmas market.  This fifth annual event attracts thousands and includes a canopy of lights, live animal Nativity, kids’ and teen activities, photos with St. Nick, German foods, beer and wine garden, musical performances including caroling and the sights and the sounds and smells of Christmas.

Yelp's Totally Bazaars

More than 150 local businesses will be in attendance at Yelp's annual shopping party, 'Yelp's Totally Bazaars'.  It's the perfect spot to find a unique gift for the most difficult people to buy for.

Festival of Trees
Nov. 25 thru Dec. 24 @ 10 a.m.

One of the nation’s largest and most stunning holiday display is open for the holiday season in Historic Madison.  Come check out all of the beautiful displays and bright colors.

17th Annual Bleed Blue Blood Drive
Dec. 17 @ 8 a.m.
Lucas Oil Stadium, 500 S. Capitol Street, Indianapolis, IN

Come out and do a good deed and donate blood at the 17th Annual Bleed Blue Blood Drive.  Then stay for the Holiday Fest with family-friendly viewings of the "Polar Express" and "Elf".  There will also be opportunities to tour the field and the Colts locker room, chances to win prizes and appearances by Colts Cheerleaders and Blue, the official mascot of the Colts.
