Best Valentine's Day shows in Columbus 2017

Is there a better date night than a concert, especially for Valentine's Day? Concerts can make for a great romantic night out or a fun night on your own if you're single, and Columbus has some great ones to choose from, including R&B icons like Charlie Wilson and EDM legend Darude. Whether you're celebrating being single or cozying up to your significant other this Valentine's Day, find your favorite show, get your tickets, and have fun!

Feb. 10 @ 8 p.m.

The man behind "Sandstorm," Darude, has a few shows scheduled close to Valentine's Day, and one will bring him to Columbus on Feb. 10. Genera-admission tickets are $10, or you can take a group of eight and get a VIP table for $500, which also includes mixers and two bottles of top-shelf liquor.

Hamilton Leithauser will stop by Newport Music Hall just before Valentine's Day on Feb. 11, along with opener Lucy Dacus. The general-admission tickets are $10.

R&B icon Charlie Wilson is bringing his In It to Win It tour to Columbus a few days after Valentine's Day, Feb. 18, and he'll bring American Idol's Fantasia, Johnny Gill and Solero along with him. Ticket prices start at $58 and all include a physical copy of Wilson's In It to Win It album, his most recent release. VIP packages are also available and include a ticket in the first ten rows, a meet and greet, photo op, signed lithograph, exclusive gift, and commemorative laminate. "As usual, folks should come prepared for a party," Wilson said of the tour.

Singer KT Tunstall will perform the day after Valentine's Day, Feb. 15, at A&R Music Bar. Tickets are $23 in advance, $25 day of show.

Skully's Music Diner — 1151 N. High St. Columbus, OH 43201

'90s kids, relive some of the music of your childhood with a show from Aaron Carter the day after Valentine's Day, Feb. 15 at the award-winning Skully's Music Diner. He'll be joined by Spencer Saylor and Nikki's Wives. General-admission tickets are $20, while early-entry meet-and-greet tickets are $70. Guests under 21 will have to pay an extra $2 at the door.
