BIG3 to bring 3-on-3 professional basketball to ten American cities

There will be a BIG3 three-on-three basketball tournament at Staples Center in Los Angeles on Sunday, Aug. 13, 2017 at 2 p.m. PST. The doors open at 1 p.m. PST. Those who are interested in attending the event can purchase a ticket from the Staples Center Box Office starting Monday. Children aged three or older require tickets. Those under the age of three can sit on another person's lap. 

There will be four games played at the Staples Center on Aug. 13. Games will feature many players who played in the National Basketball Association. Other stadiums this summer where BIG3 three-on-three basketball will take place are Barclays Center in Brooklyn (June 25), Spectrum Center in Charlotte (July 2), the BOK Center in Tulsa (July 9), the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia (July 16), the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville (July 23), the American Airlines Center in Dallas (July 30), the Rupp Center in Lexington (Aug. 6), the Key Arena in Seattle (Aug. 20) and the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas (Aug. 26). 

Big3 was created by rap sensation Ice Cube of Los Angeles along with entertainment industry executive Jeff Kwatinetz of Brooklyn. Ice Cube has strong links to the sports world. In 2010 he directed an outstanding documentary for ESPN titled Straight Outta L.A., which discusses how the NFL's Los Angeles Raiders brand impacted Hip Hop and gangsta rap in Los Angeles in the 1980s and 1990s.
