Alternative outfit Blonde Redhead has announced a miniature North American tour of sorts, as they will hit the U.S. west coast following a string of European shows. The tour will begin at San Francisco's Regency Ballroom on July 22, before seeing them through LA's FYF Fest and finally Portland and Seattle. Tickets to the shows go on sale Friday, May 19. In addition to the tour announcement, the band has released a brand new live video for the track "3 O'Clock," which was directed by Alex Caroppi and filmed by Ortensia Braga during Blonde Redhead's March 10 gig at Paradiso Noord in Amsterdam.
For those needing a refresher, Blonde Redhead has been kicking it since 1993, forming in NYC by frontwoman Kazu Makino and a pair of twin brothers, Simone and Amedo Pace. The band drew mainly from noise rock and shoegaze, along with the band members' multicultural backgrounds, before evolving into their own unique sound that has influenced many other bands over the years. Nine full-length albums later, they are still putting out music and touring the world. Blonde Redhead's latest EP, 3 O'Clock, was released in March. Prior to that, the group last debuted an LP in 2014, but just last year released a massive 37-track box set Masculin Féminin.
