Bob Dylan's 'More Blood, More Tracks' features rare 'Blood on the Tracks' outtakes
Bob Dylan/VEVO

Bob Dylan fans who can't get enough of previously unreleased material will have more to enjoy when Columbia Records/Legacy Recordings releases Bob Dylan - More Blood, More Tracks - The Bootleg Series Vol. 14, which features alternate outtakes from his classic 1975 album Blood on the Tracks.

More Blood, More Tracks, which is due out on Nov. 2, will be available for streaming, as a CD/2-LP album or as a limited-edition 6-CD deluxe version. Many of the tracks on the album have been widely bootlegged but are now being officially released in the audio condition that they deserve.

The original Blood on the Tracks album was recorded in New York City in September 1974 in sessions originally engineered by Phil Ramone and in Minneapolis in December 1974 in sessions originally engineered by Paul Martinson. Dylan wrote all the songs on More Blood, Moe Tracks except for the traditional song "Spanish Is the Loving Tongue." A lyric video has been released for "If You See Her Say Hello" (Take 1).

The non-deluxe version of More Blood, More Tracks has outtakes of all 10 songs appearing on the original Blood on the Tracks album, as well as a previously unreleased version of "Up to Me." The deluxe version of More Blood, More Tracks has the complete New York sessions in chronological order, including outtakes, false starts and studio banter.

Rock historian Jeff Slate commented in the More Blood, More Tracks liner notes: "When Dylan was recording Blood on the Tracks, he asked [producer Phil Ramone to speed up many of the masters by 2-3 percent, a common practice in the 1960s and '70s, especially for records sent to AM radio … On More Blood, More Tracks, for the first time, we're hearing the songs exactly as Dylan recorded them."

Meanwhile, Dylan shows no signs of slowing down, as he has been touring throughout the year.

Here is the tracklist for More Blood, More Tracks - The Bootleg Series Vol. 14 :
