The DIY network is doing another house-flipping reality show starring a music artist whose biggest hits were in the 1990s. Boyz II Men member Nathan Morris is showing his talent for house renovations in "Hit Properties with Nathan Morris," which premieres Oct. 6 at 10:30 p.m. ET/PT. The series will initially run for four episodes.
DIY is also the network of "The Vanilla Ice Project," which has been on the air since 2010, as a reality show showcasing Vanilla Ice's house-flipping experiences. On June 30, DIY also aired the special "Sir Mix-A-Lot's House Remix," a one-hour special that showed "Baby Got Back" rapper Sir Mix-A-Lot buying and renovating a house in his hometown of Seattle.
In "Hit Properties with Nathan Morris," the Boyz II Men singer transforms a 8,200-square foot neglected mansion in Orlando, Florida, into a modern estate. Morris commented in a statement, "On the business side, I've invested in some lucrative real estate deals, and, on the personal side, I've done some construction, renovating and designing. But I've never brought the two together in one project. This was my chance to do that—on a massive scale!"
If the show's ratings are good enough, DIY will likely order more episodes that will feature other homes. Meanwhile, Boyz II Men has been spending most of 2018 touring North America, as well as continuing their successful Las Vegas residency at The Mirage. On Sept. 6, Boyz II Men took time out from their regular shows to do a special performance of "The Star Spangled Banner" at the NFL 2018-2019 season kickoff at Lincoln Financial Field in the group's hometown of Philadelphia.
