Multi-platinum recording artist and Grammy-award winner Brad Paisley will take his "Wheelhouse" across the pond next summer for the acclaimed Country to Country music festival. The huge two-day extravaganza will take place (once again) at England's The O2 arena on March 15-16, 2014. Also slated to headline the event are Dierks Bentley, Dixie Chicks, Zac Brown Band, Rascal Flatts and Chris Young.
Two additional performers will be announced at a later date.
"It is a very exciting time for Country music in the UK," says broadcaster Bob Harris. "C2C 2013 was a fantastic experience and next years festival promises to be another massive milestone. I am thrilled to be compering again and providing huge coverage on 'Bob Harris Country' on BBC Radio 2 when Nashville comes to London. See you at the O2!"
Last year's inaugural event welcomed over 17,000 fans from around the UK, Ireland and Europe and featured such special guests as Carrie Underwood and Leann Rimes.
“CMA is proud of our support and involvement in C2C," notes CMA Board President Ed Hardy. "The reaction of the fans after the first year and the outstanding support from our artist’s community gives us the opportunity to broaden our music in the UK and Europe. This celebration of Country Music at The O2 is fast becoming an annual tradition and we are excited to play a part in growing the country music genre in the international marketplace.”
Highlights from the festival will be broadcast on BBC Radio 2 on Bob Harris Country on March 20 and 27, 2014 at 7 p.m.
Tickets go on sale Friday, October 11, 2013.
