Brazilian heavy metal masters Angra are headed to North America this fall, including a stop in the Los Angeles area. The band will take the stage at the City National Grove of Anaheim on Saturday, September 29 with support from Romanian metal band Scarlet Aura. Tickets are on sale now. You can find them on AXS by following this link.

Angra formed in 1991 by Santa Marcelina Music College students Rafael Bittencourt (guitar), Andre Matos (vocals) and André Linhares (guitar) in Sao Paulo, Brazil. With Bittencourt and Matos as the band’s primary songwriters, Angra released their debut album, Angels Cry, in 1993. The band would go on to release eight more albums including their latest, Ømni, in 2018. Although Matos left the band in 2000, Bittencourt would go on to lead the group as they built dedicated cult followings in Japan, Europe and North America.
