BTS has added a history-making date on the group's popular Love Yourself world tour: On Oct. 6, BTS will perform at Citi Field in New York City's Flushing, Queens neighborhood, making it the first time that a Korean artist has headlined a U.S. stadium concert. Citi Field, which has a seating capacity of about 40,000 people, is home to the New York Mets baseball team. Tickets for the BTS concert go on sale Aug. 17 at 4 p.m. ET.
In May, BTS also made history by being the first Korean artist to hit No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart, when the album Love Yourself: Tear debuted in the chart's top spot. This year, BTS also had the U.S. release of the group's Japanese-language album Face Yourself. BTS's repackaged album Love Yourself: Answer is set for release on Aug. 24, the day before BTS's Love Yourself world tour kicks off in the group's hometown of Seoul.
Meanwhile, to gear up promotion for the Love Yourself: Answer album, BTS released on Aug. 6 a new episode of the group's “Most Beautiful Moment In Life: Notes” series. In this latest entry, written by BTS member Jin, he is described by his real name Seokjin instead of his stage name, and the entry implies time travel since its dated "3 August Year 22." The diary entry tells the story of Jin and the other members of BTS finding a notebook written by his father and discussing failures he made with his friends. The new "Notes" entry was followed up on Aug. 9 by an "Epiphany" comeback trailer, directed by YongSeok Choi.
