Car Seat Headrest announce dates for 2019 US tour

Car Seat Headrest may have one of the better names in today’s indie rock universe.

Their name isn’t the only thing that separates them from the rest of the indie pack, as their lo-fi pop indulgence has carved out a new fan base within their genre. Formed in 2010 in the small town of Leesburg, Virginia, the band, consisting of Will Toledo, Ethan Ives, Andrew Katz, and Seth Dalby, relocated to Seattle to be in the center of the alternative/indie rock scene.

After laboring for five years, the group finally landed a hit with 2015’s Teens of Style, which set the band up for their breakout, Teens of Denial, the following year. In 2018, Twin Fantasy (Face to Face), became the band’s biggest LP, reaching number three on the indie album charts and landing on music charts worldwide.

Now, to capitalize on their success, Car Seat Headrest will embark on a nice-sized tour next year, beginning their treck in their home base of Seattle in January, and ending the journey in San Antonio in early March, with stops in indie-rich scenes such as Baltimore, Richmond, and Austin.
