Car Seat Headrest unveils re-release of 'Twin Fantasy,' shares video for 'Nervous Young Inhumans' (watch)

The album that made Will Toledo an underground indie rock hero was re-recorded and will soon be released again. Toledo's Car Seat Headrest has announced the re-release of Toledo’s 2011 album Twin Fantasy, this time via Matador Records, on Feb. 16. But if you think you’ve been-there-heard-that, think again.

As Pitchfork reported, Toledo had this to say about the re-release. “It [Twin Fantasy] was never a finished work and it wasn’t until last year that I figured out how to finish it.” Toledo has certainly learned a lot in seven years, especially with two label releases under his belt. But that doesn’t mean the new Twin Fantasy doesn’t have the same indie charm.

Car Seat Headrest also released a video--directed by Toeldo--for the Twin Fantasy track “Nervous Young Inhumans." While lo-fi probably isn’t the word to describe it, the track carries a rich, full sound with an opening guitar barrage that still harkens to Toledo’s garage roots.
