Hip-hop star Cardi B adds two more top 5 hits to her impressive Billboard chart history this week. Her remix of "Girls Like You" with Maroon 5 and "I Like It" featuring J Balvin and Bad Bunny both moved into the upper reaches of the Hot 100 chart, Billboard reported on June 11.
Since breaking out with the No. 1 hit "Bodak Yellow" last year, Cardi B has made countless appearances on the Billboard Hot 100 chart with songs from her Invasion of Privacy album and as an in-demand featured artist. On May 30, she hopped on the remix of "Girls Like You," the third single from Maroon 5's Red Pill Blues album. Frontman Adam Levine details a whirlwind romance on the endearing trop-pop song that Cardi gives extra punch with her guest verse. The music video with an all-star cast of women from Camila Cabello and Mary J. Blige to Ellen DeGeneres and Tiffany Haddish is nearing 92 million views on YouTube. The Maroon 5 and Cardi collaboration rocketed from No. 94 last week to No. 4 this week.
Up one rung higher is Cardi B's "I Like It" featuring reggaetoneros J Balvin and Bad Bunny at No. 3. The potential Song of the Summer moved up from the No. 7 spot last week. She embraces her Dominican roots with two of Latin music's most-streamed artists and a sample of The Blackout All-Stars hit of the same name with a trap music twist. The tropical music video has crossed over 85 million views on YouTube since premiering on May 29. With "Girls" and "Like," Cardi tallies four top 5 hits on Billboard's Hot 100 chart. Maroon 5 visits the region for a ninth time while J Balvin collects a second top 5 hit (following the No. 3-peaking "Mi Gente") and Bad Bunny earns the first of his career.
Cardi B is on a roll with her Billboard chart successes. Expect the rapper on the rise to perform many of those hits when she opens for Bruno Mars' 24K Magic World Tour in the fall.
