Carolina Rebellion 2018 lineup announced: Alice In Chains, Godsmack, Muse headlining

Get ready to rock, the official lineup for Carolina Rebellion 2018 is here. The eighth annual rock fest, which runs May 4-6, will feature headliners (announced today, Dec. 4) Alice in Chains (Friday), Godsmack (Saturday) and Muse (Sunday), marking the latter’s only 2018 U.S. festival performance. Returning to Charlotte Motor Speedway in Concord, NC, Carolina Rebellion 2018 showcases acclaimed rock bands along with top up-and-coming talent.

According to a festival press release, the initial daily 2018 Carolina Rebellion lineup is:

Friday, May 4: Alice In Chains, Shinedown, Stone Sour, Stone Temple Pilots, Bullet For My Valentine, Underoath, Parkway Drive, Pop Evil, Sevendust, Andrew W.K., Tremonti, Red Sun Rising, Avatar, Texas Hippie Coalition, Power Trip, He Is Legend, Turnstile, Counterfeit, Stick To Your Guns, The Wild!

Saturday, May 5: Godsmack, Five Finger Death Punch, Breaking Benjamin, Halestorm, In This Moment, The Used, Trivium, Black Veil Brides, Asking Alexandria, Hatebreed, Butcher Babies, New Years Day, Shaman’s Harvest, From Ashes To New, Emmure, Toothgrinder, Palisades, Bad Wolves, Palaye Royale, Joyous Wolf, Them Evils.

Sunday, May 6: Muse, Queens of the Stone Age, Incubus, Billy Idol, The Struts, Clutch, Thrice, Baroness, Greta Van Fleet, Quicksand, The Sword, Red Fang, Code Orange, The Bronx, Mutoid Man, The Fever 333, The Blue Stones, Black Foxxes, Spirit Animal.

“We are extremely honored to be playing Carolina Rebellion 2018,” says Brent Smith of Shinedown in the statement. “We have always admired how this event has grown year after year. With that being said, let’s get it on. Cya in May, Rebels!!!”

To that end, Carolina Rebellion 2017 had a record-breaking attendance with more than 105,000 fans, surpassing 2016’s 90,000 fans. Originally comprising two days, Carolina Rebellion grew to three days for the 2016 event after selling out tickets in 2015.

Several bands from 2018's diverse lineup will be performing new music from their upcoming 2018 releases, including Alice In Chains, Stone Temple Pilots - with new lead singer Jeff Gutt - Halestorm, Black Veil Brides, Sevendust, and Red Sun Rising. What's more, Saturday bill toppers Godsmack will celebrate their 20th anniversary at the fest. 

In addition to four stages of live music, Carolina Rebellion also features VIP options, a BBQ village and camping facilities. Carolina Rebellion is part of the World's Loudest Month concert series, which also includes Welcome To Rockville, Rock on the Range, and others.
