On Nov. 8, French electronic musician Carpenter Brut announced via Twitter that he plans bring his music to the people in early 2018 with his wonderfully named Leather Patrol Tour. During his sojourn through the United States and Canada, the DJ and producer will play shows in San Francisco, Seattle, Chicago, Philadelphia, New York and Cambridge, Mass.’s own The Sinclair. Carpenter Brut is hitting the road to support his second studio album, CARPENTERBRUTLIVE, which was released in June of this year.
Carpenter Brut, real name Franck Hueso, broke onto the international music scene with the release of his first LP, 2015’s Trilogy, which collected music from his first three extended plays. His thrillingly ominous soundscapes has appealed to electronic music fans on both sides of the Atlantic, and gotten the attention of several video game makers. Brut has provided phenomenal throwback scores for titles such as “Hacknet,” “The Crew” and “Hotline Miami 2.”
