The Los Angeles Kings might be struggling in the Pacific Division, but there is no doubt that center Jeff Carter is having a magnificent season. On Thursday, Carter had a season high four points as the Kings beat the Florida Panthers 6-3.
Carter now has 16 multi-point games this season. In the Kings win over the Panthers, Carter had two goals and two assists, was a +3, four faceoff wins, one power play point and four shots on goal.
On the season, he has 29 goals, 22 assists for 51 points. He is a +6 with 22 penalty minutes, 53 hits, 25 blocked shots, 502 faceoff wins, 16 power play points, one shorthanded goal, nine game winning goals and 172 shots on goal. He leads the Kings in goals, points, power play goals (nine), power play points, shorthanded goals, game winning goals and shots on goal. His nine game winning goals also leads the National Hockey League.
The Kings are currently in fourth place in the Pacific Division with 60 points. They are one point up on the Calgary Flames for a playoff spot. This week the Kings play host the Arizona Coyotes on Thursday and the Panthers on Saturday before playing in Anaheim against the Ducks on Sunday.
