Chance the Rapper and Jamila Woods looking for Chicago students to direct music video

Chance The Rapper’s public school crusade continues. Chance and longtime collaborator singer Jamila Woods announced via Facebook that they are looking for aspiring filmmakers from Chicago high schools to direct a video for Woods’ song “LSD" (listen above) featuring Chance himself. The duo asked students to submit music video treatments, with pitches in PDF form, to Chance and Jamila will be accepting submissions until Friday, June 2. Chance and Jamila are no strangers to helping and mentoring young people in their native Chicago. According to The Chicago Tribune, Woods serves as associate artistic director of Young Chicago Authors and is a founding member of YCA's Teaching Artist Corps. Chance recently donated $1 million to Chicago Public Schools and has been working with city officials to improve the district. Chance has also tapped organizations like the Chicago Bulls to get involved. The beloved basketball team recently matched the rapper’s million-dollar donation.
