Everyone was buzzing about Teyana Taylor’s dance performance in Kanye’s music video for “Fade” after it premiered at the VMAs a few months back. She may have been outdone at her own game in Sylvan Esso’s newest music video for “Kick Jump Twist,” the second single from their still-untitled upcoming album.

Starring dancer Gary Reagan and directed by Mimi Cave, the video features Reagan using the incredible movements of his body to lead the action. No special lighting, no effects, and no props- - just a skilled dancer using his most versatile tool to capture the spirit of a song titled “Kick Jump Twist” in one organic, nearly continuous shot. Well done sir.

This is the first official music video the band has released supporting material from their upcoming sophomore album, which the North Carolina electro-pop duo made up of Amelia Meath and Nick Sanborn have yet to give an official title. They released the album’s first single with “Radio” back in September and gave the song its national television debut on Jimmy Fallon’s Tonight Show just last month.

The group hasn’t announced any North American dates for 2017 yet either, aside from the two music festivals they’re scheduled to perform at with Boston Calling and Shaky Knees Festival, both of which take place in May. With a few select European dates scheduled to start out their month of May before coming over to the U.S., expect for the group to announce more U.S. dates in May and June as spring draws closer.
