One of the biggest Latin alternative concert events of all-time will take place in Los Angeles on May 5 at the StubHub Center. The event is the Cinco Cinco Fest! and the biggest draw is seeing two of the most influential Mexican bands sharing a stage for the first time in over 20 years. Those bands are Caifanes and Maldita Vecindad and they are not coming to Los Angeles alone.
Caifanes formed back in 1987 and remain one of the most influential Spanish rock bands in music history. The band has a strong mix of punk rock and Latino music, making them a groundbreaking act at the time and a band that has remained popular 40 years later. Maldita Vecindad formed in 1985 and is one of Mexico's most successful bands, as well as a socially conscious musical act that has influenced bands all over Mexico.
These two iconic and legendary Latino acts will be joined at the Cinco Cinco Festival by punk metal band Suicidal Tendencies, Mexican ska-punk band Tijuana No!, Argentina's pop-rock star Miguel Mateos, electro-funk band Kinky, and Victimas Del Dr. Cerebro. Also on hand are Los Blenders and Mariachi Los Potrillos.
