Weeks after announcing their signing to Roadrunner Records, Coheed and Cambria decided to drop a brand new tune for their fans today. The song is titled "The Dark Sentencer," and it's a grand return for those entangled with their concept albums. Their last studio album The Color Before the Sun, which was a complete departure from The Armory Wars storyline, focused more on Claudio Sanchez's personal life. The track will appear on Coheed's forthcoming studio album, which is slated to be released before the year is over.

This summer, Coheed will embark on a co-headlining tour with Taking Back Sunday, which will include stops at Denver's Sculpture Park on Aug. 6 and The Joint at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas on Aug. 10. The Story So Far, who will also release a new album this year, will join as the opening act. Tickets are on sale right now.

This weekend, the band will take part of NSO Pops: Space, the Next Frontier, which will take place at The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, D.C. The event celebrates the 60th anniversary of NASA with performances of space-inspired music (2001: A Space Odyssey, Also Sprach Zarathustra.)
