Rock band Cold War Kids is keeping the summer concert season going this August with the announcement of additional tour dates.

The band will stop in Asbury Park and Brooklyn on August 11 and 13, respectively. Tickets for both shows go on sale Friday, June 8, at noon right here on AXS.

Cold War Kids is currently on tour through the end of the month in support of their new live album, Audience--the band's second live album, released earlier this spring 10 years after the first and recorded last September in Georgia. Fans got a preview of the release with a live video for "Can We Hang On?"

"The impetus for me was that the songs were recorded very very quickly and over years they have evolved into a different thing," frontman Nathan Willett said of Audience. "The thing that we do live is us at our best. In the studio, we try to replicate that and often times we don't achieve it.

Cold War Kids' most recent studio album, the well-received L.A. Divine, was released last year.

The band also has a handful of other tour stops scheduled over the course of the summer through September, including some festival appearances.
