On Jan. 22, comedian Anthony Jeselnik announced via Twitter that he plans to launch a world tour beginning in late February. The Funny Games Tour will bring Jeselnik to venues in Milwaukee, Seattle, Atlanta, Cleveland, Pittsburgh, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Boston, St. Louis, Minneapolis, Indianapolis, Chicago, Washington DC, Philadelphia and Kansas City, Mo.’s Arvest Theatre at the Midland Theatre. Tickets for these sure to be sidesplitting live shows go on sale Jan. 26.

Known for his dark and bitterly ironic comedic stylings, Jeselnik began his career as a standup comic in 2003. He got a foothold in the entertainment industry in 2009 when he landed a role as a writer on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.” The following year, Jeselnik got his big break as a regular player on Comedy Central’s celebrity roast specials.

On the strength of his appearances on the road and the release of his weekly hilarious debut album Shakespeare, Comedy Central ordered a late night series featuring the comic called The Jeselnik Offensive that ran for two seasons.
