Complete list of nominees for the 2018 MTV Movie & TV Awards
Marvel Entertainment

The 2018 MTV Movie & TV Awards nominees have been announced and Marvel/Disney’s critically-acclaimed “Black Panther” is ruling the nominee roost, with seven nominations including Best Movie. The Marvel Universe’s most recent epic super hero mashup, “Avengers: Infinity War” is also vying for the coveted Best Movie Golden Popcorn trophy along with Universal Picture’s riotous gal-pal romp “Girls Trip,” which features a breakout performance from this year’s host, Tiffany Haddish (who is up for Scene Stealer and Best Comedic Performance for her role). The ceremony will be broadcast on Monday, June 18 at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT on MTV.

As for TV standouts, Netflix’s compelling drama “13 Reasons Why” and The CW’s mysterious teen drama “Riverdale” are receiving their first Movie & TV Awards nominations, competing against each other in the Best Show category. Katherine Langford from the former series is up for Best Performance in a Show honors, while KJ Apa (Archie) and Camila Mendes (Veronica) from the latter are up for the lip-locking Best Kiss Award. Netflix’s smash hit sci-fi series “Stranger Things” also makes a strong showing with six nods overall. In all, TV and Movie fans should gear up for a star-studded night of Golden Popcorn bliss.

Lady Gaga’s “Gaga: Five Foot Two” is competing against “Demi Lovato: Simply Complicated” in the music documentary category, among others. “RuPaul’s Drag Race” is nominated for Best Reality Series/Franchise against, “Real Housewives,” “Vanderpump Rules” and more. “RuPaul’s Drag Race: Werq The World” is touring live, including a stop at The National in Richmond, Virginia on Oct. 20.
