Another year has come and gone. 2018 and whatever it may bring is looming ever closer. But we still have some time left to take in some live music before the year officially comes to a close, and New Year's Eve is the perfect time to do it.There is no better way to say goodbye to one year and welcome the next, and the Twin Cities will have plenty of concerts happening for New Year's. From weekend-long festivals to small but exciting shows, AXS wants you to put on your finest, pop some champagne (or sparkling grape juice) and get your tickets to have a fun, memorable holiday.

New Year's Eve falls on a Sunday this year, giving you a full weekend to party. Snowta NYE Festival returns to Minneapolis this year with a lineup that includes Gucci ManePost Malone, and Pretty Lights, as well as local artists Prof, Marc Irv, Nazeem & Spencer Joles, Dwynell Roland, Wookiefoot, and Jon Wayne and the Pain. Attendees can also enjoy activities like Alien Laser Tag, Human Bowling, Snowboard Rail Jam, a skate park, an arcade, and more. Tickets are on sale now, with two-day passes costing $160 for general admission and $220 for VIP passes.

Snow isn't the only weekend-long party in town. The Skyway Theatre is presenting two nights of great music across six stages, with a lineup of Keys N Krates, Grandtheft, Champagne Drip, Dr. Ozi, Bandlez, A Boy & A Girl on Saturday, Dec. 30 and Rickyxsan, JayKode, Woolymammoth, Carbin, Noer The Boy, Hoverboots, and Tyro the following night, New Year's Eve, plus a countdown set from DJ JAUZ. Patrons can also enjoy food, champagne, live dancers, an art gallery, an interactive resolution booth, silent disco, and more. Tickets are on sale now, costing $55 for two-day passes, $25 for night one, and $35 for night two.

Above & Beyond

The Armory - 500 6th Street South, Minneapolis, MN, 55415

Party with English trance group Above & Beyond. Tickets are on sale now, ranging from $40 to $50. Like many artists, the trio will be hitting the road in 2018 in support of new album Common Ground, starting just a few weeks after New Year's on Jan. 25.

Morris Day & the Time

Mystic Lake Casino - 2400 Mystic Lake Blvd., Prior Lake, MN 55372

Minneapolis may never be the same without icon Prince, but some of his contemporaries are still going to party like its 1999. Purple Rain co-stars and "The Bird" and "Jungle Love" hitmakers Morris Day & the Time will play at the nearby Mystic Lake Casino for an early 5 p.m. show. Original band members Jellybean Johnson and Monte Moir will also be part of the lineup. Tickets are on sale now, ranging from $30 to $60.

Grand Funk Railroad

Ring in the New Year with "American Band" Grand Funk Railroad at the nearby Treasure Island Casino. Tickets are on sale now, ranging from $37 to $47.
