Mother’s Day is often considered the second birthday for mothers in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.
While most families will be taking their beloved matriarch of the family out to eat for this sacred holiday, others may treat mom out to a great concert or show. Here’s the best that will be happening just in time to celebrate mom in the Metroplex this year.
The kings of comedy will make a stop in Dallas just in time for Mother’s Day. The Platinum Comedy Tour will bring the best comedians around for a night of non-stop laughter, which will tickle the funny bone of moms all over the Metroplex.
Country music is the heartbeat of Texas culture, and nothing will get mom’s heartbeat pumping more than seeing one of country’s rising stars in the big stadium in Arlington. Kenny Chesney will bring his show to Texas-sized AT&T Stadium, and getting mom tickets to a show that will sure to sell out will make this the best Mother’s Day yet.
Lynyrd Skynyrd: Bad Company
May 11 @ 6 pm
Starplex Pavilion -- 1818 First Ave., Dallas, TX 75210
The name Lynyrd Skynyrd will bring back mom’s days as a youth; so, why not surprise her with tickets to see this band live and in person in Dallas for Mother’s Day? Lynyrd Skynyrd will play a show at the Starplex Pavilion right before the restaurants fill up with moms for Mother’s Day, and this show will make for a pre-meal show for moms still attached to this southern rock band.
Like music, sports is also a way of life in the Metroplex. The area’s Major League Soccer team, FC Dallas, will be in town for Mother’s Day weekend to take on the LA Galaxy in a matchup that will make for an exciting day for mom and the family before taking her out to Mother’s Day dinner on Sunday.
