Houston is the 4th largest city in the nation, but when the 4th of July rolls around, it has the same small town charms as its Texas neighbors.

There will be a plethora of events that will charm many in the Bayou City and its surroundings, from fireworks to nighttime gatherings. There will also be a lot of concerts and shows planned around this time, and for those in search of that perfect event to help celebrate Uncle Sam’s birthday, check out these great concerts and events.

Houston’s sports scene is hotter than an August day. With the Astros going for their second straight World Series championship, the Rockets looking like title contenders, and the Texans on the rise, there is nothing stopping Houston’s pro sports teams from competing. One can’t forget about the Dynamo, Houston’s MLS team that came within one game of competing for the MLS Cup. The Dynamo once again has a good team, and they’ll be in action when the upstart LA Football club visit the Bayou City.

He has earned that title, one that no one can take from him anytime soon.
