Mardi Gras is a  celebration of music and fun traditionally held before Lent, usually culminating on Fat Tuesday, which will be on Feb. 13 this year. The clubs and concert venues in New York will feature special events to celebrate the season, as well as concerts that will fit every taste in music in 2018.

Mardi Gras Celebration at the Blue Note NYC
Feb. 9-13 @ 8 p.m.

The Blue Note will present a Mardi Gras Celebration featuring music by jazz quintet Kermit Ruffins & The BBQ Swingers on Feb. 9-11. On Fat Tuesday, Feb. 13, Mardi Gras Tuesday there will be entertainment by jazz singer and keyboardist Davell Crawford featuring Pedrito Martinez.

MATOMA

Norwegian DJ Matoma is on his “One In A Million Tour,” debuting the music of his upcoming album. Matoma has given fans a taste of his new music through his new song “Slow,” a collaboration with Noah Cyrus. Tickets to see Matoma at Terminal 5 are available on AXS.  

George Clinton and Parliament-Funkadelic

R&B star George Clinton revolutionized R&B in the ‘70s, recording both as Parliament and Funkadelic. Clinton and company will hit the road for the Mardi Gras Celebrate Mardi Gras Madness Tour, which includes the Fat Tuesday performance at the B.B. King Blues Club for the second year.

Bierhaus NYC will celebrate Fat Tuesday with a Mardi Gras, which is called Fasching in Germany.  with live music, trivia, masks, beads, and fun.

All For The Hall

The All for the Hall campaign is a fundraising event that will benefit the Country Music Hall of Fame and the Museum. Country Music Hall of Fame member and 21-time Grammy winner Vince Gill will host the show, which will feature award-winning women in music, including Country Music Hall of Fame member Emmylou Harris, pop superstar Kesha, and Grammy-winning country star Maren Morris.  Enjoy a great night of music on Fat Tuesday.  Tickets are available on AXS.

The Phantom Anthem Tour: Born of Osiris, ERRA, Ocean Grove. The Phantom Anthem is the Christian metal band’s eighth studio album. Tickets to see August Burns Red are available on AXS.

Ganja White Night

Electronic music band Ganja White Night will bring The Origins Tour to PlayStation Theater. The tour will feature Opiuo, Dirt Monkey, and Subtronics. Tickets are available on AXS.
