You've got a cookout planned, a great spot for fireworks, and you're relaxing in the summer heat. What's left? Live music. Few things are more fun than a concert, especially to celebrate a holiday in the middle of summer, when the concert season is at its peak. And Baltimore has a lot of concerts for you to check out over July 4th weekend, from rock icons to electronic acts, so find one you can't miss and get your tickets before they sell out!
July 1 @ 8 p.m.
Rams Head Live - 20 Market Pl., Baltimore, MD 21202
July 1 @ 9 p.m.
Baltimore Soundstage - 124 Market Place, Baltimore, MD, 21202
Keep the weekend going with electronic music from Mija, who will be joined by Nebbra, Tre Justice, and Ruckle, on July 1 at Baltimore Soundstage. Tickets are $15 in advance, $20 day of show, and are on sale now.
July 3 @ 7:30 p.m.
Wolf Trap - 1551 Trap Rd., Vienna, VA 22182
Rock icon John Mellencamp is one of many musicians on the road just in time for Independence Day, and although his Baltimore-area stop doesn't fall over the weekend, it's a good way to start the new week on Monday, July 3, with his Sad Clowns & Hillbillies tour, in support of his new album of the same name. Mellencamp is joined on the tour by Emmylou Harris, Carlene Carter, and Lily & Madeleine. Tickets are on sale now right here on AXS, and prices range from $45 to $125.
4th of July Celebration
July 4 @ 7 p.m.
Celebrate Independence Day with Baltimore's party downtown at the Inner Harbor, featuring live music from the Commodores U.S. Navy Jazz Ensemble at the Inner Harbor Amphitheater and fireworks at 9:30. The event is sponsored by Ports America Chesapeake.
First Thursday Concerts
July 6 @ 5:30 p.m.
Canton Waterfront Park - 3001 Boston St., Baltimore, MD 21224
It's a little late, but keep the party going into the week on July 6 with WTMD's monthly summer concert series, First Thursdays. This month's lineup features Robyn Hitchcock, The Weeks, Ron Gallo, Waxahatchee, Hollis Brown, and Outcalls. And best of all, the concerts are free!
