Charlotte is a city that is blessed to be one of the few metro areas in the south to have a true fall.

Fall in the Queen City is certainly a magnificent time, with the trees exploding in an array of colors, kids gearing up for a night of trick-or-treating on Halloween, and families hitting up the numerous pumpkin patches for that perfect pumpkin and corn mazes for fall fun. If you’re looking for the perfect patch and maze that your family will enjoy, check out these venues that will bring fall fun in the Charlotte area.

Fall is when the rural areas of the Charlotte region come alive with the smell of pumpkins and the sights and sounds of corn mazes. One such corn maze. The Rural Hill Amazing Maize Maze in Huntersville, really brings the fun and excitement of fall. One of the largest corn mazes in the region, this 7-acre corn maze will really bring out the wits and fun for families who’ll travel here from near and far. In addition to the maze, there will also be corn hole, a pumpkin picking, and a Halloween celebration and fireworks show.

In Mooresville, this ranch will be anything but boring for fall. The Lazy 5 Ranch will put on their annual Fall Festival, which will be a ton of fun for the whole family. The main attraction here will be their pumpkin patch, which will offer a variety of pumpkins at reasonable prices. In addition to their patch, Lazy 5 Ranch will also have a “pumpkin slingshot,” which is as awesome as it sounds. For the kiddos, there will be a straw castle, corn box, and more.

For those who want a taste of fall on the farm but doesn’t want to leave the confines of the city, then this may be the place for you. Hall Family Farm has been a charming place for city-slicker families for years, and this season won’t be any different. The corn maze is one of the best in the area, the pumpkins at the pumpkin patch are fresh and full of variety, and the entertainment, from kids activities to a musical hayride, will keep the family entertained for hours.

If you live closer to NASCAR Country (aka Concord), then this is the farm you should visit for all of your pumpkin needs. Riverbend Farm has possibly the best pumpkin Patch in Cabarrus County, and in addition to this patch, there will be other fall activities for the family to enjoy,  chief among them a farm-themed playground that will be a ton of fun for the kiddos.
