Houston is still recovering from the floods of Hurricane Harvey, and one of the best ways for storm-weary families to return to normal is by embracing fall.

Houston doesn’t have a typical fall. Normally, the weather is still quite warm around this time, but that doesn’t mean that the Bayou City doesn’t get down for fall. There will be numerous pumpkin patches and corn mazes where Houston families will head to for a taste of fall, and here are the best venues where the family with have a wonderful time embracing fall life.

If you haven’t been to the Nature Discovery Center on the outskirts of Houston, then you’re missing out on a Bayou City treat. This hidden oasis will be even more captivating later this month when the center will host its annual pumpkin patch. Though this patch will only run during the weekend, this is a must-visit because of the varied size and shapes of pumpkins that will be offered here. Whether big or small, for Halloween of pie, you’ll be able to find the right pumpkin at the Nature Discovery Center.
