Singer and keyboard master Cory Henry and his band The Funk Apostles are set to close out 2018 at the Cooking School of Aspen in Aspen, Colorado as part of the Jazz Aspen Snowmass Winter Cafe Series. Cory Henry & The Funk Apostles will deliver four performances over two days, Dec. 28 & 29, with shows starting at 7:00 p.m. and 9:15 p.m. You can find ticketing info for each show below.

Cory Henry is perhaps most well known for his work with Brooklyn-based jazz-funk fusion band Snarky Puppy, with whom he won two Grammy Awards. But his musical journey goes back much further than that. A Brooklyn native himself, Henry began playing the Hammond B3 organ and piano at just two years old. He performed at the legendary Apollo Theatre in Harlem when he was six and began touring at the ripe old age of 19 with jazz saxophonist Kenny Garrett. Henry would go on to tour and record with big names such as Bruce Springsteen, The Roots, Michael McDonald, Donnie McClurkin and many more.

Now, having just turned 30, Henry is stepping into the frontman role himself with his band The Funk Apostles, who deliver a mind-bending blend of jazz, funk, blues, soul, gospel, afrobeat and R&B. Cory Henry & The Funk Apostles recently released their debut album, Art of Love, which arrived in 2018.

Don’t miss your chance to catch this phenomenal musician and his amazing band when they come to the Cooking School of Aspen Dec. 28 & 29. See below for ticket info.
