Courtney Barnett reveals new fall tour stops, including a date at The Greek in LA

Aussie rocker Courtney Barnett has added 13 more shows across North America onto her already busy 2018 tour schedule. The newly announced batch of concerts will pick up towards the end of summer, with a gig at the State Theatre in Portland, Maine on July 26. Barnett will then have a break throughout August and September, before the North American run picks up again at Denver’s Ogden Theatre on Sept. 29, and continues well into the fall with a final show in Austin on Oct. 27.

The two month break following Barnett’s appearance at the Newport Folk Festival in late July will certainly be one which is well deserved. Following her brief spring tour around the U.S., the 30-year-old guitarist and singer will head over to the U.K. and Europe for a run of international shows throughout the month of June. All the upcoming concerts should provide fans with their first live listen of new tunes from Barnett, who is set to release her follow up to her highly-acclaimed 2015 Sometimes I Sit and Think, and Sometimes I Just Sit album with Tell Me How You Really Feel.

Barnett celebrated a different kind of album release and tour last year, when she and fellow indie rocker Kurt Vile provided fans with an equally fantastic Lotta Sea Lice LP. More recently, Barnett has already shared the upcoming album’s first two singles with “Nameless, Faceless” and “Need A Little Time,” and will presumably release at least one more before Tell Me How You Really Feel arrives in record stores on May 18.

“They’re all pretty real life-y,” Barnett said about the songs set to appear on the new album in a recent interview. “Most of what I’m saying on the album can be doubled up. You know how you give your friends advice and you’re like, ‘Why don’t I ever listen to my own advice?’”

Tickets to select shows on Barnett’s 2018 tour are on sale now, or will be starting on March 23, and can be purchased by clicking here.
