Long Island progressive metal group Cryptodira have spent the past month promoting their upcoming debut album The Devil's Despair, which follows a trio of self-released EPs over the years. The band, who have been praised for regional performances alongside Stray From The Path, The Black Dahlia Murder, and Testament, worked on the release with producer Randy LeBoeuf, who is best known for his work with For Today, Wolves At The Gate, and Kublai Khan. Yesterday, the group released the final single from the album titled "The Facist's Phantasy."
Digital pre-orders for the new 10 track album, which will be released worldwide next week on Good Fight Music, are live on iTunes, and they'll include instant downloads of the new track and previous singles "Medusa Misgendered" and "In Hell as on Earth." A plethora of physical pre-order bundles can be found over on their webstore, including the $120 mega bundle with the release on half bone/half aqua vinyl.
Next month, the band will embark on their first trek in support of the album with an opening spot alongside New Jersey mathcore group The Number 12 Looks Like You, who will be performing their 2005 studio album Nuclear. Sad. Nuclear in its entirety on the East Coast. British experimental rock group Rolo Tomassi, who will drop their new album Time Will Die And Love Will Bury It next March, will also perform. Cryptodira's tour plans for the new year will be revealed in the near future.
