Kacey Musgraves has come a long way since growing up in the DFW area. Musgraves was raised in Mineola, Texas, a small town just east of Dallas. While she got her start playing music around the Dallas-Fort Worth area, she moved on to the national scene thanks to tours with Kenny Chesney, Lady Antebellum and Katy Perry, and has since won a pair of Grammys. According to the Dallas Morning News, the next step in Kacey Musgraves’ career is a Christmas album, hitting this October.
Even better is that Kacey Musgraves will be working on A Very Kacey Christmas with fellow Texas native Willie Nelson and R&B sensation Leon Bridges. There will also be contributions on the Kacey Musgraves Christmas album from Dallas band, the Quebe Sisters, for the song “Let it Snow.” The album will include 12 songs with four original tracks and eight cover songs. The Willie Nelson song is one of the originals titled “A Willie Nelson Christmas” with Nelson and Trigger.
Dallas music fans have a great chance to hear Kacey Musgraves when she plays at the State Fair of Texas on Friday, Sept. 30. Tickets for her performance are included in the admission to the Opening Night of the Texas State Fair and those tickets run $18 at the gate, with kids getting in for $14.
Kacey Musgraves releases her new album A Very Kacey Christmas on Oct. 28. Musgraves is also finishing up her Kacey Musgraves Country & Western Rhinestone Revue Tour, with her final show on Sept. 25 in Franklin, Tennessee. Fans can next see her playing with George Strait in Las Vegas starting in December at the T-Mobile Arena.
