Country music fans can gear up for an up-close and candid conversation between Grammy-winning singer-songwriter Clint Black as he speaks with Dan Rather on an all-new episode of “The Big Interview,” Tuesday, March 28 at 8 p.m. ET/7C on AXS TV.
Clint Black blasted onto the country music scene in 1989 with his chart-topping debut country album Killin’ Time. It spawned five No. 1 singles including his debut single “A Better Man,” the title track, “Killin’ Time,” “Nobody’s Home,” “Walking Away,” and “Nothing’s News.”
Black stands out among his contemporary peers with his traditional vocal style and smooth baritone sound that’s been likened to late, legendary artist Merle Haggard. His career has spanned more than 25 years, during which he produced 12 studio albums, and won a Grammy Award for Best Country Collaboration with Vocals for “Same Old Train.”
Black and his actress-singer wife Lisa Hartman Black live in Nashville, Tennessee and award-winning journalist and “The Big Interview” host Dan Rather sits down with the cool country charmer in his home. In the attached video preview clip, you can hear Black tell rather how he tricked his wife into recording and singing their first duet together, “When I Say I Do.” The couple reunited for his latest studio album, On Purpose, for the romantic track “You Still Get to Me.”
Black discusses his career (which includes his music journey and a turn toward acting), as well as his personal life in this in-depth interview that only Dan Rather can conduct in his signature, easygoing, conversational style.
