David Gray's new album Gold In A Brass Age arrives on March 8, and the singer has already made plans for a 2019 world tour to support the album. Listen to the record's first song "The Sapling" now by playing the video above, then get tickets to see David Gray live through AXS starting Thursday, Nov. 8 at 10 a.m. local time.
Gold In A Brass Age will be Gray's first album in almost five years, since the release of Mutineers in March 2014. That's a long time to be out of the recording studio, but Gray hasn't been on vacation for the last half-decade. Rather, he's continued to tour and enchant live audiences around the world, and having new music to add to his set list will make his concerts even more breathtaking.
"The Sapling" shows how Gray still has a knack for writing simple, beautiful music that can captivate an audience and it makes Gold In A Brass Age worth waiting for. The record is now available for pre-order on iTunes.
Gray begins his world tour with a European leg from March 15 to May 8; international tour dates can be found at his website. The North American segment of his tour will start on May 24, and AXS has tickets to two of the earliest performances. Tickets to Gray's show on May 25 at Moody Theater in Austin, Texas can be purchased through the AXS event page, while tickets to the May 26 show at The Theatre at Grand Prairie in Grand Prairie, Texas can be found at its AXS event page. Tickets for both shows range from $39.50 to $79.50.
Then on June 17, Gray will perform at Ellie Caulkins Opera House in Denver, Colorado; tickets for that concert will be available on Friday, Nov. 9. Fans can purchase them through the AXS event page and they are priced from $55.00 to $85.00
Wherever music fans choose to see him, David Gray is a musician who has spent more time touring than in the recording studio, and thus he knows how to put on an excellent live show. Especially now that he has an entire album of new music to share, his 2019 tour will be one that pop fans want to add to their calendars. He's an artist who commands attention, and he's about to share even more great songs with the world.
