Right before summer begins, Death Cab for Cutie and The Decemberists are coming together for a good cause. On June 9 they'll play an acoustic benefit show at Seattle's Paramount Theatre. All proceeds from the concert are going straight to Planned Parenthood and ACLU Nationwide.

Death Cab for Cutie made this concert announcement yesterday on the band's Facebook page. In that post lead vocalist Benjamin Gibbard said, "We as Death Cab For Cutie are appalled by the divisive, xenophobic and misogynistic agenda the Trump Administration is attempting to implement in our country. We are proud to be joining our friends The Decemberists and Sera Cahoone in support of both the ACLU and Planned Parenthood at this pivotal time in our nation's history.”

Death Cab For Cutie and The Decemberists won't be the only ones performing that night. Sera Cahoone will also be there, and she's set to open the show. All three acts will put on acoustic performances. On the day of the concert, doors will open at 6:30 p.m. and Sera's going to begin at 7:30 p.m.

Tickets for Death Cab for Cutie's June 9 benefit concert at Seattle's Paramount Theatre go on sale May 12 at 10 a.m Pacific Time. Tickets range from $55 to $150 and can be bought via AXS here. All proceeds are going to ACLU Nationwide and Planned Parenthood.
