Denver Comic Con joins forces with the Colorado Rapids for Star Wars Night, Sept. 30
AXS Studios

This year's convention may be over, but Denver Comic Con is still spreading the love of all things geek throughout Colorado. On Sept. 30, the organization will be teaming up with the Colorado Rapids to throw a special Star Wars Night event during the game against Montreal Impact.

Tickets for the themed night can be purchased right here. Tickets start at $35 and include a ticket to the match, a donation to Pop Culture Classroom and one Star Wars and Colorado Rapids cobranded scarf. Kickoff is at 7pm local time and instructions to pickup scarves will be sent out prior to the match. Regular admission for the game is also available here. Fans with additional questions are encouraged to contact Travis Putnam with the Colorado Rapids at travis.putnam@teamkse.com or 303-727-3590.

The MLS is no stranger to the force. On May 4 (recognized as Star Wars day, #MayThe4thBeWithYou) back in 2013, the league matched Star Wars characters with MLS teams they're most likely to support. The league gave the Colorado Rapids the support of Obi-Wan Kenobi's Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn, stating that "as a Jedi that's perfectly in tune with the Force, Qui-Gon Jinn would feel completely at home in the ever-changing natural elements at Dick's Sporting Goods Park. He'd also identify with the gritty maverick Pablo Mastroeni and the rest of the combative Rapids midfield."

Denver Comic Con doesn't just love soccer, the organization has also paired-up with the Colorado Avalanche and Colorado Rockies for special themed nights. The Rockies also celebrated their fandoms with a Superhero Night back in July which featured cosplays, chalk art, special swag and more.
