Between the incredible roster of bands like Wilco, Death Cab For Cutie and Old 97s and the Colorado Classic bicycle race, the Velorama Festival -- scheduled for Aug. 11-13 in Denver’s RiNo district -- is looking like a welcome new event in the Mile High City. But if the music and race weren’t enough, Velorama will also host the 14th edition of the Denver Flea, giving attendees the chance to shop over 200 local vendors during the three day event.
The Denver Flea will be on site at Velorama on Friday, Aug. 11 from 4-10pm, on Saturday from 10am-10pm and on Sunday from 10am-5pm. Organizers are dubbing this edition a “Super Flea” since there will not only be their normal mix of local craftspeople, artists and merchants, but a host of food trucks, craft beer vendors, mixologists and more.
As for the specific vendors, Denver Flea will be bringing cadre of local businesses to the event. From the hilariously subversive cards and merchandise of Craft Boner to pickled delights of The Real Dill to the adorable hand-drawn designs of Counter Couture, the Denver Flea at Velorama is just as much a showcase of Denver’s incredible community of local merchants as it is a bicycle race or concert.
