It should come as no surprise to anyone that Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee’s “Despacito” is the most streamed song in 2017. With a little help from Justin Bieber, “Despacito” snagged the most streams with a staggering 1.322 billion on-demand streams (both audio and video), according to Nielsen Music. As Billboard pointed out, Ed Sheeran came in second on “Shape of You” with just shy of a billion streams.

If that seems like more than usual, it’s because it is. As Billboard reported, overall on-demand streams were up 43 percent in 2017 at roughly 618 billion streams. Although the Spanish crossover hit garnered the most streams, it was hip hop that took home the most streams as a genre. 7 out of 10 on the top streamed are hip hop artists. Among hip hop artists, Kendrick Lamar grabbed the most audio streams with “Humble” while Migos featuring Lil Uzi Vert had the most video streams on “Bad and Boujee.”
