It’s never too early to start making party plans for new year’s eve, especially if you’re one of the more well-known burlesque performers in the industry and your job routinely involves basking under the lights in a life size martini glass. Such is life for Dita Von Teese, the famous vedette, lingerie model and classically trained dancer, who will be kissing 2017 goodbye with her own gala performance at the Theatre at Ace Hotel in downtown Los Angeles on January 31.
Her new year’s eve performance will welcome anyone with a curious or adventurous spirit, who may be looking to start their 2018 with a peek inside Teese’s seductively glamorous on-stage world. The veteran performer recently took her modernized version of the classic adult entertainment performance style on the road over the summer. Named after her first book, Art of the Tease, Teese's tour visited a handful of western U.S. cities throughout the month of July, before wrapping with a final show at the Theatre at Ace Hotel of all places.
For those who have yet to experience a Dita Von Teese one of a kind show, they should prepare themselves for a mix of beauty, confidence, a sensual atmosphere and plenty of feathers and rhinestones for days. For Teese, it’s not just the men she expects to draw most of the attention from at her shows, but also looks to turn some heads of anyone daring enough to join her in the audience.
“Women want to come to the show because it is inspiring to them. It is about a playful sense of sensuality,” Teese told AXS during the middle of her summer tour. “It is fantasy about the art of creation. What the audiences witnesses in a burlesque show is candy-coated sexual fantasy on stage.”
Tickets for the new year’s eve gala show starting Friday, Oct. 6 at 10 a.m. local time, and can be purchased by clicking here.
