To say that DJ Snake is one of the pillars of modern-day EDM is an understatement.

Everything he has touched has turned to gold, and his music can be credited with pushing and underground sound into the mainstream. His prolific sound has also captured numerous awards, from a Billboard Music Award for Top Dance/Electronic Song to a coveted MTV Video Music Award for Best Direction.DJ Snake is on top of the world.

Before he became the man everybody knows and loves today, he was William Sami Etienne Grigahcine from the Ermont district in suburban Paris. His stage name came from the graffiti art he did in his early years, but his love for art eventually switched from painting sidewalks and buildings to music. In 2011, DJ Snake was the man behind Lady Gaga’s hit album Born This Way, and from that point on, he has been a sought-after DJ, working with such artists as Young Thug and Cardi B.

He still hasn’t lost his taste for performing live, though, and this October, Snake will perform two special shows at New York's Avant Gardner and the Shrine Expo Hall in LA. It will be an experience like no other, so make sure those tickets are in hand.

Oct. 26 -- New York City, NY -- Avant Gardner
Oct. 31 -- Los Angeles, CA -- Shrine Expo Hall (Tickets)
