We're into the second month of the year, and we've noticed the lack of death metal tours in the region. Fortunately, two popular bands in the genre also observed this as well. On Monday, death metal fans got word of a major tour hitting their area very shortly.

Dying Fetus and Thy Art Is Murder will join forces for a 31 date tour across North America. The tour, which kicks off on March 15, will include a stop inside Cleveland's Agora Ballroom on March 17. Joining them on this trek as support are Rivers of Nihil, Enterprise Earth, and Sanction. Tour dates can be seen below.

Tickets will go on sale to the general public this Wednesday (Feb. 7) at 10 a.m. local time, but VIP packages can be purchased here right now. The Mega VIP package, which values at $151, will include a special singalong with Dying Fetus during soundcheck and a T-shirt.

Both Dying Fetus and Thy Art Is Murder will be supporting albums released last summer. Dying Fetus' release Wrong One to F**k With peaked at number seven on the Independent Albums chart and number eight on the Hard Rock Albums chart. Thy Art Is Murder's album Dear Desolation, which finds the band reuniting with longtime vocalist CJ McMahon, peaked at number three on the Hard Rock Albums chart.
