Forbes has released its 2018 Highest-Paid Celebrities rankings and British pop superstar Ed Sheeran claimed Top 10 spots on two separate lists. First, the “Shape of You” singer-songwriter came in at No. 2 on the Highest-Paid Celebrities Under 30 list, just under model/entrepreneur Kylie Jenner, who topped the list this year by raking in $166 million.
The 27-year-old British native musician earned $110 million in Forbes’ reporting period (From June 1, 2017, to June 1, 2018). His earnings also ranked him at No. 9 on the Celebrity 100 2018 comprehensive list, which is topped by championship boxer Floyd Mayweather (earning $275 million).

His Under 30 ranking bested his good pal Taylor Swift’s No. 4 spot by two notches.
Sheeran and Taylor Swift are great friends and frequent collaborators. Swift's earnings came in at 80 million and she's notably the only female artist in the Under 30 Top 10.
Sheeran’s earnings are largely represented by his massive tour earnings as well as billions of music streams.
Sheeran broke multiple tour records to support his Grammy-winning third studio album Divide. The record also garnered billions of streams. In fact, he was named the Most Streamed Artist of 2017 on Spotify. His North American tour was closing in on $300 million back in October and he dominated the European live tour market in 2018.
Sheeran’s No. 9 ranking on the Celebrity 100 list also makes him the highest-paid solo artist on the list.
The Celebrity 100 measures celebrities in multiple areas of entertainment including sports figures, TV and film actors, authors and more. Sheeran is the highest-paid solo artist on the list.
Irish rockers U2 bested Sheeran by three places on the Celebrity 100 list.
U2 is one of the biggest bands in music history. They came in at No. 6 on the Celebrity 100 earning $118 million. They released their 14th studio album, Songs of Experience, in December of 2017. It sold over 1.3 million copies. British band Coldplay came in just under U2 at No. 7 with $115.5 million. Bruno Mars fell just out of the Top 10, two notches under Sheeran at No. 11 with $100 million.
As previously reported, Katy Perry topped the Forbes Highest-Paid Women in Music list for 2018, earning $83 million, edging out Taylor Swift, who fell in second place with $80 million. Perry’s earnings placed her just within the Celebrity 100 Top 20 at No. 19. Swift falls two notches under Perry at No. 21.
Some of the other music artists who made the Celebrity 100 2018 ranking include JAY-Z at No. 25 earning $76.5M, Guns N’ Roses at No. 27 with $71M, Roger Waters at No. 28 with $68M, Sean Combs at No. 32 $64M and Beyoncé at No. 35 (Net worth of $355M reported).
